Just a quick note to thank you if you chose Mitoko Falcore for your breeding program this season.
I would love to know how your mating went? If those who purchased could provide details on their conception rates I will send out an update with the results for you all.
Personally with my dairy herd we had a 10% empty rate over 9 weeks of mating with 83% of the herd due to calve in the first 6 weeks, our results consistantly sit around these figures. We achieved our best result yet with our dairy heifers, 1 empty out of 44. That's a great result!
I have had an unexpected surprise, my Highland X heifer, whom my daughter fondly named Radish, was expected to calve in late January but still hasn't. I now suspect she might be due in early March with a question mark surrounding the baby daddy. Stay tuned for update in the next couple weeks !
Bubblegum got in calf to her first round of AI to Marlow Park Boris so we will get a full sibling to Bubble born this season.
I am currently making arrangements for Falcore to go get collected so will keep you updated when I have straws available.
